Many entrepreneurs will see their businesses fail in fewer than 12 months.
According to the National Women’s Business Council, African American women-owned businesses have grown at a rate that is 2.5 times that of women-owned businesses in the United States. However, the challenge is staying in business longer than a year. Most people prepare to launch a business, but fail to create a plan to stay in business and compete.
It's my passion to teach clients the magic of gaining media exposure while growing their brands, businesses and bottom lines with a strategy in 30 days. This can happen in 30 days. My approach is simple: create a goal and commit for 30 days (to start). Once you see the success of focusing on the goal and, more importantly, doing the work consistently to stay in business, you will want to do more. Success does not happen overnight, but it will happen with consistency.
According to Merriam-Webster’s dictionary, the word reset can be defined as “to set again or anew.” It’s a fresh start, a chance to rewrite past mistakes and start with a clean slate – basically, the ultimate aha moment, when you finally figure out the “ish” that has been holding you back and keeping your life hostage.
Sometimes your purpose may keep you up at night, but at the same time it will reinvigorate you so you approach your business with an extra spring in your step the next morning.

Welcome the ultimate reset: redefining your brand, business and bottom line. As a public relations expert, I wanted to create a resource/book designed with you in mind, offering all the tools you need to stop co-starring in your life and snag your starring role by promoting your business with creativity and pushing until it feels right. Welcome to 30 Day Reset: Brand, Business & Bottom Line (True Stories from Entrepreneurs).
I know for certain that every disappointment, challenge and success I’ve encountered has prepared me for my next opportunity: to truly inspire entrepreneurs, while empowering them with the tools to breathe new life into their brands/businesses and more importantly, themselves. So, what does that mean? It means that everything in life requires a plan. The minute you accept that notion and take your vision the extra mile, get uncomfortable, define what you really want and how you want it and admit that you are tired of experiencing the pain – then you are really ready to press RESET.
I was not fully living up to my potential in life, brand, business and self until I realized this. If you want a successful business, brand and bottom line, you too will have to teach and mentor others, while empowering them to discover their purpose. Sometimes your purpose may keep you up at night, but at the same time it will reinvigorate you so you approach your business with an extra spring in your step the next morning.
Tips to your ultimate reset:

4) Interact with select media/press via social/traditional media.
5) Network as if your life depends on it.
6) Understand and master the needs of your clients.
7) Welcome competition. We need it to thrive.
Here’s to brand new you!
