Diana Franco is the Executive Director of WE NYC and Launch Services at The NYC Department of Small Business Services. The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) helps unlock economic potential and create economic security for all New Yorkers by connecting New Yorkers to good jobs, creating stronger businesses, and building thriving neighborhoods across the five boroughs.
Her team provides over 4,500 services a year for businesses in pre-startup, startup, and operating stages through a series of initiatives and their programs. The Launch Services team includes; WE NYC, the official initiative of New York City to support and empower women entrepreneurs; FastTrac, an intervention that offers a set of immersive educational programs to support new and growing ventures in their early years; Business Pathways, industry-focused programs in Childcare and Catering; and the Small Businesses Advocates, who provide 1-on-1 consultations to storefront business owners to open faster.
Diana, a serial entrepreneur by nature, started her career at a young age during the internet boom. She is a founding team member of three successful tech startups; Latinred S.L., CycleLogic, and Kactoos. She is also the founder of Grenout, an agency focused on helping foreign entrepreneurs launch their products and services in the U.S., and co-founder of CoreWoman, a foundation that aims to empower women professionally and economically.
